Completed Projects - Greenspace & Infrastructure

Memorial Garden Memorial Garden: The UGA Memorial Garden honors University students, faculty, staff and alumni who have fallen in defense of democracy and their country. Located at the Student Learning Center, the garden features a large, unbroken circle of granite and a book of remembrance.

DW Brooks Mall DW Brooks Mall : With three out of five projected phases completed, D.W. Brooks Mall includes wide sidewalks, open grassy areas, and trees. Upon completion, the mall will extend from Conner Hall to the north to Carlton Street to the south.

Herty Field Herty Field : Herty Field has served as a football field, a parking lot, and after a 1999 conversion, as a public plaza with a large green lawn and a cascading fountain.

Coverdell Memorial Garden Coverdell Memorial Garden : A memorial garden that includes some of the late Senator Paul D. Coverdell's favorite plants and a Georgia Oak reflects the Senator's life of service.

Lumpkin Woods Lumpkin Woods: Stormwater runoff from county-owned Lumpkin Street is being directed to a series of raingardens on campus property in order to filter and cleanse the water before it is released into Tanyard Creek.
