Completed Projects - Historic Renovations
Phi Kappa : Rededicated in March 2005, Phi Kappa Hall was carefully renovated and restored to make the building a more suitable meeting place for the Phi Kappa Literary Society and the Georgia Debate Union.
Old College:
Upon completion on its bicentennial in 2006, the restored Old College building houses offices for the Dean of Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and the Associate Vice President for Public Service and Outreach.
Administration Building: Through careful research and painstaking craftsmanship, architects and workers preserved and restored the 1907 North Campus building. The project was completed in February 2000.
Tanner: Until 1997, the Tanner Building was the home of the Tanner Lumber Company. Acquired by UGA, the building was totally renovated to become the current home of the School of Arts Graphic Design and Scientic Illustration programs.
Demosthenian: In 1997, Demosthenian Hall received a $200,000 facelift. Financed primarily by alumni donations, the construction work restored the Upper Chamber to its original 1824 layout and color scheme and the floors of theLower Chamber were uncovered and restored.
Moore College: Renovated in 2001, Moore College is the Unversity's only example of the Second Empire style of architecture. The stuccoed brick exterior has a variety of decorative features, including quoins and a mansard roof complete with dormer windows.
