Completed Projects - Research Facilities
Coverdell Center: Opened in March 2006, the 140,000 square foot Coverdell Building houses a dynamic, interactive mix of disciplines with a unifying focus on problems of biomedical importance.
CCRC: Completed in 2003, the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center is a focal development within the Riverbend Research Village. The building is over 120,000 sq.ft. and will allow the Center to position itself as a leader in the growing field of medical glycobiology/glycotechnology.
AGTECH: The Applied Genetic Technology Resource Center was completed in 2002. The building features state-of-the-art labs and equipment for faculty conducting genomics research on agriculturally important plants and animals, such as peanuts, pine trees, and chickens.
AHRC: The Animal Health Research Center is a three-story 75,000 sq. ft. facility where researchers will conduct basic and applied research on vaccines, diagnostic tests, and treatments for diseases that infect animals as well as humans. The AHRC was opened in 2006.
Food Science Addition:
The Food Sciences building addition, completed in 2003, was designed to enhance food science research and extension outreach capabilites. The facility houses four state-of-the-art microbiology labs.
