Sustainable Design
As the State's flagship institution, UGA plays an "integral and unique role in the conservation and enhancement of the State's and Nation's intellectual, cultural and environmental heritage."
The Office of University Architects is currently updating campus design guidelines to more effectively manage development and environmental stewardship. An executive energy committee has been formed to develop and implement strategies to conserve resources within the physical campus.
The Office of University Architects also continues to collaborate with the UGA Grounds Department to improve the quality of campus water resources.
